Justin Sun has finally made his long-awaited flight into space, four years after making the highest bid for a seat on Blue Origin’s first crewed mission.
Previously the founder of the project Tron, known for his controversial statements, was forced to withdraw from the project due to numerous regulatory lawsuits and civil suits filed against him in the United States.
After landing, Sun kissed the ground, thanked Jeff Bezos and his parents, and said this was just the first step toward funding space exploration.
It seems that Justin Sun had another American to thank, namely Donald Trump, for changing the attitude towards crypto entrepreneurs.
As we remember, Sun made a donation during Trump’s election campaign of more than $60 million, and also spent hundreds of millions of dollars on Trump tokens, investments in companies associated with him.
Moreover, he even attended a dinner with the US President, which was called an open corruption scheme.
After these major purchases, the US Securities and Exchange Commission decided to suspend any investigations into the young crypto billionaire, who had previously lost civil lawsuits in the US and lost his post as ambassador to the World Trade Organization.
The flight, which cost Sun $28 million, could mark a new milestone for the commercial space industry, as companies like Blue Origin and SpaceX can now openly accept money from financial fraudsters and the like.
