Stakers to Unfreeze Ethereum Worth a Huge $4,49 Billion

Validators working on the Ethereum blockchain want to unlock ETH worth a record $4,49 billion, given the current coin rate.

The number of coins waiting to be unfrozen began to rise sharply in mid-July, reaching an all-time high of 27 ETH on August 986,820. This trend coincided with a cryptocurrency price pump, making it clear that node operators are looking to sell digital assets to lock in profits earned from the Ethereum price increase.

Due to the huge number of requests for cryptocurrency withdrawal, the waiting period for Ethereum unlocking has increased to an unprecedented 17 days and 13 hours. The rating of platforms whose users want to unfreeze the maximum number of assets is headed by:

  1. Lido (231,136 ETH worth $1 billion);
  2. fi (155,104 ETH worth $705,7 million);
  3. org (148,128 ETH for $674 million).

To be fair, the platforms also record incoming Ethereum transactions. However, the outflow of coins exceeds the inflow by 395,110 ETH worth $1,8 billion. Therefore, it is safe to assume that validators will exert downward pressure on the cryptocurrency rate over the next three weeks or longer. In this regard, the Ethereum price, currently at $4,550, will most likely continue to decline in the medium term.
