Solana has started selling second-generation Seeker cryptophones

Company Solana Mobile has officially begun shipping its second-generation Seeker cryptophones to users in over 50 countries.

The phone has already received over 150,000 pre-orders, making it even more popular than its previous Saga device. Recall that sales of the first cryptophone from Solana were slow at first but then grew thanks to lucrative token giveaways.

General manager Solana Mobile Emmet Hollier said that Seeker has improved hardware features compared to the first-generation Saga. But what really sets Seeker apart is its networking features, he explained.

The seed store provides hardware-level security, keeping private keys, seed phrases, and secrets completely separate from the application layer while still allowing interaction with applications, Hollier said.

Other key features of Seeker include a self-custody hardware wallet built with Solflare, Seed Vault, and Genesis NFT, which gives holders access to upcoming airdrops, content and reward schemes.

The device, which retails for $450 and $500, is expected to generate at least $67,5 million in gross revenue. Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, which deals with blockchain technologies.
